Traveling tribute to fallen troops brings home meaning of Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance for all military members who have died while protecting the freedoms we hold dear.

Burgess Bailey did his part to ensure our fallen servicemembers are not forgotten.

Over the holiday Bailey brought the 10th annual Rumble Quake and Uncle Sam’s Memorial Tribute Display to Iredell County.

The Rumble Quake motorcade was led by William Macdonald, the ride captain for the Northwest District for the North Carolina Patriot Guard.

What I would like to see is that the community comes together instead of so much violence that goes on

The motorcade traveled from the Carolina Field of Honor in Kernersville to The Boat in Statesville.

Everyone arrived safely due to the traffic control units from the Kernersville Police Department, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office

Davie County Sheriff’s Office, Iredell County Sheriff’s Office and the Winston-Salem Police Department.

The Uncle Sam’s Memorial Tribute Display featured the N.C. Moving Wall, photos of all Vietnam casualties associated with North Carolina
