Snowfall fans will likely feel inclined to agree because five seasons in we’re still left clamouring for more time with these characters.

Created by John Singleton, Eric Amadio and Dave Andron, the American crime drama premiered on FX back in 2017 and fully immersed audiences in the sphere of those entangled in the crack epidemic, whether a villain or a victim.

Transporting us back to 1983 Los Angeles, this odyssey has been compelling from the start and, inevitably, fans are hoping it’s not the end of the road just yet. So, is Snowfall season 6 confirmed?

Yes, Snowfall was officially renewed for season 6 in April 2022.

While this is great news, you may be saddened to hear that it will be the last. Nick Grad – President of Original Programming at FX – recently made the announcement:

“Today, as the fifth season of Snowfall reaches new heights of acclaim and viewership, there is no question that this series has become an FX classic drama. We are thrilled to order a sixth season that will enable Dave Andron, Walter Mosley, and the rest of the producers to bring Snowfall to a climactic finale showcasing the brilliance of everyone involved…”

He includes that this extends “from the stellar cast led by Damson Idris, to the writers, directors, artists, and crew.”

A release date is yet to be confirmed, although it will likely drop in early 2023.

With news of season 6 being locked in, it’s worth addressing that season 5 is made up of ten episodes in total.

The season finale – titled Fault Lines – premiered on Wednesday, April 20th 2022, facilitating the story to continue with just one more season.

For those looking to catch up, you can stream the series on Hulu.
